Chicago May 16, 2007- Brian Higgins, a 15 year management veteran in the touring transportation industry has formed Artisan Transport, LLC. in a joint venture with a Houston based investment group. The company specializes in time sensitive freight services for touring acts and the entertainment industry.
Jim Jacobsen, the Houston group’s chairman, brings more than 17 years of proven experience in starting, building, operating, and investing in a variety of companies, including evaluating and executing acquisitions, mergers, development projects and exit strategies. He was the co-founder and chief executive of alliantgroup, a privately-held national tax incentive consulting firm he co-built and sold to a private equity firm.
“I am looking forward to working with Brian and our team to develop our brand into an industry leader” states Mr. Jacobsen.
Artisan is currently handling the Cirque du Soleil “Delirium” tour and is in discussions to serve a host of other projects.
