Brian Higgins started in the live entertainment industry in 1984 at
Poplar Creek Music Theatre, Hoffman Estates, Illinois,. During his
tenure, he worked as a production runner, production assistant and theatre manager. He also managed amphitheatre projects for the
parent company, The Nederlander Organization.
In 1991, he joined Upstaging Lighting and Transportation, based
in Mundelein, Illinois. During his 15 year tenure as Director of Transportation, the companys fleet grew from 6 trucks to 175 and Upstaging became the largest entertainment trucking company i the world. Brian was responsible for managing the transport of small
club tours as well as stadium tours requiring as many as 120 trucks.
In January of 2007, responding to the need for an elevated level of trucking service, Brian founded Artisan Transport. Artisan is staffed with management and drivers who possess vast experience in touring and trade show transportation as well as a passion for
boutique style customer care.
